League
Carlmont’s badminton season came in as runner-up in the upper division, with junior Micah Cheng placing third in Central Coast Section (CCS) championships and freshman Ian Shi placing eighth; Cheng and Shi qualified for the 2023 Norcal Championships. Carlmont Badminton has been in the top two of the highest league section in the regional division, coming in second to only Mills after losing close games against them.

Team
Senior Charlesmore Largo not only played in as first seat all possible categories this season, but he is also one of five captains of a young and growing team.
Historically, Carlmont badminton has been a no-cut sport. However, this year boosted a record-breaking 80 people at tryouts.
The biggest growth in the team this year, according to Captain Largo is “the number of new people that are dedicated to becoming better at the sport.”
