Growth
Making it to CCS as a team has been a core memory for many on the golf team.
"Though I made it to CCS individually in freshman year, going as a team is definitely the highlight of my high school golf career. We traveled to Monterey and stayed there overnight, and I was able to bond with my teammates," said junior Kyle Lam.
Lam, who plays the number one spot, also received all-team honors, along with being in the top six in PAL and receiving the Hall of Fame title. As one of the top players, he sets a good example for other players.
"I hope to improve on being a better leader for the team. I also want to focus more on helping those on junior varsity," said Lam. "I think that we were definitely better mentally this year, which is why we were able to go to CCS. It's been a while since Carlmont has been there."

Community
In addition to teamwork, sophomore Dylan Chang emphasizes the community aspect of Carlmont's boys' golf. He particularly enjoyed the first team practice, when everyone was getting to know each other.
"It was a mixture of excitement and anticipation for the season, as well as having something fun to do after school, that got me going. Just seeing everyone bonding with each other was quite fulfilling," Chang said.
