Carlmont's girls' lacrosse team has experienced its fair share of ups and downs throughout the season, but their dedication to growth and maintaining a positive mindset has enabled them to overcome challenges and establish a strong team bond.
"Our team is currently going through a growth spurt. The players are learning the game and honing their skills every week," said Coach Wendy Lyn. "Staying positive and adopting a growth mindset are crucial to our development."
The team's unwavering focus on continual improvement has played a vital role in their progress.
Senior defense player Natalie Tobias, in addition to highlighting the team's improvement, emphasized the sense of community within lacrosse.
"I joined lacrosse because I wanted to participate in a high school sport and step out of my comfort zone. The Carlmont lacrosse team is incredibly welcoming to beginners, so I was able to pick up a stick and join the team without any prior experience, which was greatly appreciated," Tobias said.
She also mentioned that even in the face of defeats, the team still managed to have a fantastic time.
"I felt that our team bonded more than in previous seasons, and as a result, we were able to improve collectively," Tobias said.
